Out the window (or in the bin)

All regular routines and activities have gone out the window here this week. Yesterday I even binned my weekly cleaning list without completing anything on it! For the last four days breast feeding Daniel has been an excruciatingly painful experience, and has therefore taken all of my focus. Last night I couldn't do it anymore, and we made the switch to bottle feeding. Now we are taking things a bit easier around here to allow everything to settle down again.
But Daniel and I had quite a chat this afternoon, and he agrees that things went rather well today, and that no, it doesn't matter at all that he has to have his milk from a bottle now, even if mummy is a bit disappointed!

hey Ruth, sorry to hear about to feeding, I totally understand your disappointment, been in the same boat. I just tried to focus on the positives like shared night feeding or weekend sleep-ins ;)

Daniel is looking gorgeous and healthy and you both need to stay that way. Go with the flow because what he needs is a calm Mummy :-)
Keep Cool

We're having the same argument over here at the moment! Mummy is having a hard time with the decision, but baby seems to be taking it in his stride at the moment. We'll see what the next few days bring. Like reading your blog, btw. Love Sarah

I can understand your disappointment, but yes, you need to do what you need to do to cope with one husband and four kids, plus the housework, and maintain your own sanity. Go forth and feed your child in the way you see fit!
