Dreaming of my new studio...

Here's a sneak peek. Yes, it is very special! I love the twin skylights. The two small windows have been strategically located so that I can fit a good size design wall between them. The three openings in the wall on the left, in the picture below, look down onto the dining room, to maintain a connection between the studio and the main living space!
The corner past the steps will be set up as a space where the kids can do homework or craft while I am sewing.

Of course, the photos don't do justice to the wonderful feel of this space, so maybe you'll have to pop in for a studio visit once we've shifted in!

Wow ... Looks great and sounds like every detail has been carefully planned ... Can't wait to see it in all it's glory one day - filled with children laughing, a sewing machine humming and the smell of freshly made half eaten cupcakes (they have a distinct smell as opposed to uneaten cupcakes) ... Filled with the natural summers light and lots of hand dyed colour ... Loving it!

That looks like a fantastic creative zone (even if you can't line up cotton reels on the window sill!)

Yes indeed Ruth, this is a lovely space!!! I'm so happy for you and I think you will come to love it! Devoting a space for your creativity is key... hang a sign on the door "Do not disturb... masterpieces in the making!"
