We got together with friends for dinner on the weekend. After dinner we pulled out a pot of crayons and a roll of paper and suggested that the kids design a road for their cars.

This was a great activity for two three-year-olds, two six-year-olds and two eight-year-olds to work on altogether. Oh, and one important step was to put the two one-year-olds to bed first!

An hour after the older kids had moved on to other activities, one little trooper was still furiously colouring his road.

Thanks for the memories, I'd forgotten that we used to do this too! I think I was also the trooper...
What a great idea!!
